The Invisalign Process: What You Can Expect

Here’s what you can expect when you choose Invisalign clear aligners from Dentistry at Alton Towers:

Consultation and exam — The first step in your clear aligner journey involves a comprehensive exam to determine if you’re a good Invisalign candidate. We’ll assess your teeth and gums and evaluate your dental hygiene.
Digital scanning — Next, we’ll take digital 3-D images of your teeth. During this step, you’ll be able to preview your new smile before we begin treatment.
Treatment planning — We’ll discuss your treatment plan with you, providing all the information you need to make an informed decision, including treatment time and cost.
First aligner fitting — Once your aligners arrive, you’ll stop by so we can give you instructions and ensure they fit properly. Every two weeks, you’ll switch to a new set of aligners until your treatment is complete.
Routine visits — Every six to eight weeks, you’ll visit our clinic so we can monitor your progress. Between visits, you just need to wear your aligners for 20-22 hours each day.
Retainers — To keep your teeth from shifting back into their original position, you’ll need to wear retainers after treatment.

Has anyone lost a tooth with Invisalign?

Consistently wearing the aligners is the key to successful treatment with Invisalign; however, the aligners are removable and can be removed for meals, brushing, flossing, and any other needs that may arise.
